New materials are the revolutionary force in China's industrial upgrading pan Aihua, deputy director of the Department of raw materials industry of the Ministry of industry and information technology of China, pointed out that new materials are the revolutionary force driving the upgrading of traditional industries and the guide to promote China's technological innovation. Every major new technology discovery and successful development of a new product in history are inseparable from the discovery and application of new materials
pan Aihua recently attended the sixth annual conference of Asian manufacturing industry hosted by the Asian Manufacturing Association. He said that the development history of materials from stone tools to bronze to iron, polymer and composite materials is exactly the development history of mankind and is completely equivalent. New materials generally refer to new materials with excellent performance and poor performance, or materials with improved performance and new functions of traditional materials. Their categories are constantly changing with economic development, scientific and technological progress and industrial upgrading
pan Aihua further pointed out that the "12th Five Year Plan" for the development of the new materials industry proposed 20 key development directions in six major areas. The first category is special metal functional materials, metal materials with unique acousto-optic, electrothermal and magnetic properties. Special metal functional materials are widely used. The electronic information industry needs to use a large number of rare earth permanent magnet materials, precious metal functional materials, high-purity silicon and other semiconductor materials
the second category is high-end metal structural materials, which refer to metal materials with higher strength, toughness and corrosion resistance when the stress of the sample gradually increases to the maximum static friction force than traditional metal structural materials, including high-quality special steel and high-strength light alloy
the third category is advanced polymer materials, which refer to synthetic polymer materials with unique physical and chemical properties and suitable for application in special fields or specific environments, including special rubber, engineering plastics, functional film materials, etc. the self-sufficiency rate of China's advanced polymer materials is relatively low
the fourth category is new inorganic nonmetallic materials with special properties such as wear resistance based on traditional inorganic nonmetallic materials, including advanced ceramics, special glass, graphite materials, etc
the fifth category is high-performance composites, which refers to new materials with special functions and structures composed of two or more heterogeneous, heterogeneous and heterogeneous materials
the sixth category is intelligent materials, which can judge, deal with and respond to changes in external environmental conditions, and can realize the functional diversification of material structures, such as shape memory alloys, intelligent polymer alloys, etc
